Almost Christmas!

Looking back at my last post on September 30, I was saying it was almost October. Well, now it’s almost Christmas! Wow!

This tells me two things:

First, that I don’t update this blog very often!

Second, that time is moving faster than fast these days!!

So, given that, I hope your Christmas preparations are well underway. I’m not necessarily talking about the external things like decorations, gift buying, food preparation, and planned get-togethers with family, not that those are bad. Those are all very good.

I’m really talking about something more important and much harder: preparing ourselves spiritually for the Christ!

Yes, He’s coming. Again, as every year, liturgically in the life of the Church. And Yes also in His Second Advent, the event we’ve been waiting impatiently for all these centuries.

The Lord Jesus is Coming. We need to be like faithful servants watching for their master’s return.

My advice, dear reader: Be ready and watchful, for the Lord will come at a time you do not expect!
